Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 29, 2026
1. Overview
Dragin ("the App") is a macOS menu bar utility developed by an independent developer. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Dragin accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
2. Data Collection
Dragin does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The App runs entirely on your device. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels, and no third-party SDKs that phone home.
3. Local Data Access
To provide its functionality, Dragin accesses the following data locally on your Mac:
- Dragged content — files, images, text, and SVG data that you drop onto a shelf. This data is held in memory and is not persisted after the shelf is closed.
- Clipboard contents — when clipboard history is enabled, Dragin monitors your clipboard to display recent entries. This data stays on your device and is discarded when you quit the App or clear the history.
- Accessibility permissions — Dragin requires macOS Accessibility permissions to detect global mouse drag events and the shake gesture. This permission is requested through the standard macOS system prompt.
4. Third-Party Services
Dragin does not integrate with any third-party services, cloud storage, or external APIs. All processing — including SVG optimization — happens locally on your Mac.
5. App Store
Dragin is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain data related to your purchase and usage as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer does not have access to your personal Apple ID information or payment details.
6. Data Retention
Since no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing to retain on our end. Shelf contents and clipboard history exist only in your Mac's memory during use and are cleared when the App quits or shelves are closed.
7. Children's Privacy
Dragin does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, it is inherently compliant with COPPA and similar regulations.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
9. Contact
